Keeping us in stitches

We have a (shhhh, don't want him to over hear us and get offened) c-a-t that owns us. Well, at least he thinks he owns us...well, actually, yes, maybe he does own us....anyway...Akira really owns our son, Ryan, but since he is a small town cat rather than a big city cat he has elected to stay with us while his dad (Ryan) has moved to San Diego seeking his fortune and fame...well, not a fortune and maybe not much fame...but a life none the less....anyway, back to the cat...he is hilarious!!!

He is the smartest cat (and his big city dad will heartily agree) we have ever had the privilege of being owned by...he has this stuffed mouse, life like in size and color, complete with tail and a squeak...this is his favorite toy..although I am not sure this very smart cat knows it is a toy...I do believe he believes he is killing this mouse over and over and over again...pouncing on it, tossing it in the air, batting it around. Running through the house and then tearing through the house, all the while jumping on the mouse, kicking the mouse and carrying it around in his mouth by the tail.

When we are innocently walking from one room to another, if we are not thinking about the great white hunter who owns us we are liable to get attacked at the door...he lays in wait, butt wiggling the whole time, until someone who is minding their own business happens to cross through the door and WHAMMMM you are attacked and the game is on....zipping through the house, tag you are it....

Yes, this little guy who owns us is a wonderfully cheap bit of entertainment...and we wouldn't have it any otherway.

***someday I will figure out how to add pics and will post one of our owner

TAXES

Good grief! I tried this year to re-figure our deductables so we would not have to pay...and yep, we are gonna have to pay!!! dang and double dang!! Oh for the days when our boys where home and were nice little tax deductions...the price you pay for having your kids grow up and move away, becoming responsible tax payers themselves.

such is life....
